Warning: That free couch looked clean but had bed bugs hiding in the seam
Picked up a "gently used" sofa from a post here last Tuesday and woke up with bites all over my arms Friday morning. Has anyone else dealt with this and found a way to check furniture without bringing it inside first?

Man, I gotta disagree with you there. In my experience, even a few bug bites can spiral into something bigger if you're not careful. I've seen people brush off a couple mosquito bites only to end up with a nasty infection from scratching too much late at night. It's like that thing where people ignore small problems until they're a huge mess, you know? Your mileage may vary, but I've learned the hard way that a little itch today can turn into a swollen mess tomorrow. Just saying, paying attention early saves a lot of trouble down the road.
