Tbh, I swore by pocket screws for face frames until I tried dominoes
Honestly, I thought pocket screws were fast and strong enough for all my face frame work. Tbh, a buddy lent me his domino joiner for a big built-in job, and I was skeptical. After using it, the alignment was perfect every time, with no clamping fuss. Ngl, I'm switching to dominoes for face frames now, it just makes everything smoother.

Pocket screws had my full confidence for years. I defended them as the sensible choice for face frames. Then a contractor buddy left his domino joiner at my shop by accident. Used it on a small project out of sheer curiosity. The pieces lined up perfectly every single time, without any clamp wrestling. Now my pocket hole jig sits on the shelf like a sad museum piece.

Try telling my old pocket screw jig how useless it feels now, but how could I ever go back?

Respect what you're saying but gotta push back here. Watching @keith264 jump ship feels wrong. For a quick cabinet face frame, my pocket screw jig is still way faster out of the gate, no glue drying time. Dominoes are slick for tricky alignments, but they're a whole other pricey tool to set up. For most of my basic frames, the old way still gets the job done plenty strong and lets me move on.
