Wasted $150 on a dovetail jig that barely worked straight out of the box

I bought a portable dovetail jig from a brand I'd never heard of at a woodworking show in Charlotte last spring. The alignment pins were off by about 1/16th of an inch right from the start, so every joint came out loose and sloppy. I spent three weekends trying to tweak it before I finally gave up and tossed it in the scrap pile. Has anyone else had luck with the cheaper jigs or is it just better to save up for a Leigh?

Yeah that's rough. The Leigh is worth saving up for, it just works.

Always figured the cheaper jigs were fine until I tried a friend's Leigh and yeah.
