I finally let my cousin talk me out of buying the box set of The Real World, and now I can't find season 3 anywhere
He said nobody rewatches old MTV shows and that streaming would always have them, but now the only place I can find that San Francisco season is a $90 used DVD on eBay. Did anyone else hold onto their old tapes or discs because they knew this would happen?

I read somewhere that MTV basically wiped a ton of their old stuff, like the masters for some seasons just don't exist anymore in a usable form. So it's not even that they're holding out on us, the tapes are gone or too messed up to put on streaming. That's why you see stuff like San Francisco going for crazy money on eBay, it's not coming back anytime soon. My brother kept a bunch of VHS tapes from that era and half of them don't even play right anymore, so even the old copies are dying off. Wish I had told you this before your cousin got in your head about it.
