Stuck shutter on a Pentax K1000 I was fixing for a friend
Had a K1000 come in last Tuesday, the shutter was firing at random speeds and sometimes not at all. I figured it was just old grease, but after a full CLA it still acted up. Turns out the magnet wire on the timing circuit had a hairline break right at the solder joint, took me two days and a loupe to spot it. I ended up reflowing the joint and adding a tiny bit of flex strain relief, works perfect now. Has anyone else run into this on older mechanical cameras, or is it just a Pentax quirk?

Gotta say, those K1000s are usually pretty solid, so that wire break sounds more like bad luck than a Pentax thing.
