Got caught in a surprise downpour on the Lost Coast Trail and my 'waterproof' pack liner failed completely.
Everything inside was soaked, including my sleeping bag, which made for a miserable 40-degree night. Anyone have a liner brand that actually holds up to a full day of heavy rain?

That exact thing happened to me in the Olympics. Switched to a Nylofume liner after that disaster. The material feels crinkly and weird but it held up through a solid two-day soaker. My down bag stayed totally dry, which felt like a miracle. Haven't gone back to a regular trash compactor bag since.

Ugh, been there. My old liner turned into a fancy water bucket on a trip last fall. That Nylofume stuff sounds like a lifesaver, is it really that tough?
