My camp stove's fuel line cracked at 9,000 feet in the Sierra last fall.
Had to MacGyver a fix with some electrical tape and a pen spring I had in my pack. Anyone have a more reliable stove brand they'd trust for high-altitude trips?

Nah, your stove's fine! Just pack better tape next time.

Pack better tape" is missing the point. A cracked fuel line at 9,000 feet is a real failure, not a tape problem. My trust in a brand is gone after something like that. I switched to a different system for anything above tree line.

That's a pretty solid field repair though, I mean it got you down. I've had my old Whisperlite do some weird stuff up high but never fully quit.
