A barista at the Starbucks on 5th made me rethink my whole job hunt

Tbh I've been sending out the same generic resume for months and getting nowhere. This girl said she got her last 2 jobs by tailoring every single application to the exact words in the posting, even if it took an hour per place. Has anyone else tried that or is it actually worth the time over just blasting your resume out?

Three months of silence made me a skeptic too, but honestly after seeing her point about matching keywords I tried it on one posting and got a callback in a week... still weird to think about but yeah it works.
