Always thought networking was fake. Changed my mind after 3 months at a new clinic.

I hated the idea of networking. Seemed like fake smiling and trading business cards. Then I started working at Gentle Dental in Portland. My coworker Maria introduced me to a supplier who got us a deal on composite materials. Saved the office $400 a month. Now I get why people do it. Anyone else have a moment where networking actually worked for you?

Totally agree. Hooked up with a dental lab rep at a conference last year, got us faster turnaround on crowns and a 10% discount.
