My resume format was a mess for 5 years, a recruiter in Austin finally said something
I used a two-column layout with icons and a photo, and after 50+ silent applications, one recruiter told me my ATS scan came back blank because the software couldn't read the graphics. Switched to a plain single-column doc last month and got 3 callbacks, has anyone else had a similar wake-up call about their formatting?

The ATS scan coming back blank is exactly the wake-up call I got two years ago, same two-column mess with icons. Went plain text, single column, no tables, and my callback rate jumped way faster than I expected.
