The hiring manager at a coffee shop in Denver told me why he tosses half the resumes, and it was one tiny detail
He said he bins any resume with a typo in the first 5 lines, since he gets 80+ applicants per opening. Anyone else hear stuff like this from people who actually do the hiring?

Tossing half for a typo seems harsh, most good workers I know make small mistakes.
