Found out my coworker with the same title makes $12k more than me
I was looking at our company's payroll spreadsheet that someone left open on the printer last Tuesday. Turns out a guy who started six months after me with the same degree is pulling in almost 20% more. How do you even bring this up in a meeting without looking like a snoop?

Turns out a guy who started six months after me with the same degree" - maybe he just negotiated better or had more experience, not really a huge deal to freak out over $12k.

Wait, do you actually think $12k is no big deal, or are you just saying that because you've been lucky with salary bumps? @uma_baker99, the real issue here is that companies often pay new hires more than existing ones, and it's not just about negotiating skills. That kind of disparity adds up fast over a career, don't you think?
