Showerthought: I used to think trade school was a waste of time for painting, now I see the value after a bad job in Arlington.
I was always dead set on learning everything on the job, figured classroom stuff was just theory and not real world. Then I had a customer in Arlington last month who insisted on a specific technique for their old plaster walls, something I had to look up online after messing it up twice. Has anyone else gone back for formal training after years of winging it and actually seen a difference in their work?

Yeah, formal training saved my butt on old plaster. Huge difference.
