A $9 resume review at a library in Tulsa turned out to be real help
I figured a free resume review at the library would be a waste, just a volunteer skimming for typos and handing it back. The woman who looked at mine spent 25 minutes on it last Tuesday and pointed out that all my bullet points said what I did, not what came of it. She had me rewrite three lines with actual numbers in them, like the 40 orders a week I used to handle at my old job. I sent out 6 applications that week with the new version and got 2 callbacks, which is more than I got all last month. Has anyone else tried a library or community center for this kind of thing, and did it actually pan out?
