Cleaned out the shop and found my first ever batch of marbles

Honestly, I was just moving some old crates in the back and a dusty box fell open. Inside were about 50 marbles I made back in 2009, my first real try after my apprenticeship. Looking at them now, the colors are muddy and the shapes are all off, but I remember being so proud I kept them. Has anyone else dug up their early work and been surprised by how far they've come?

Question about using a Mustad 4-in-1 rasp versus a standard farrier's rasp

I switched to a Mustad 4-in-1 rasp for my final finishing about 6 months ago. The difference in the foot's smoothness and the time it saves per horse is huge, maybe 3 minutes faster on a standard trim. I used to get more chipping on the hoof wall edge with my old rasp, but this one just leaves a cleaner line. Has anyone else found a specific tool that cut down their finishing time this much?

Remember this one time my friend tried to date someone based SOLELY on their "professional layer" from LinkedIn. Completely ignored how they acted outside of work. Turns out the guy had a whole other personality for weekends, like a totally different person. It was a mess. Layers aren't separate things you check off a list, they all mix together. Showerthought: my $30 travel towel from a shop in Bangkok was the best thing I ever packed

I packed a regular towel for a trip to Lisbon last year. @the_cora is right, it dries you off way better than the fancy microfiber ones. Never saw the point in buying a worse towel.

Switched to a new weld prep method on our 8-inch pipe runs last quarter

Our foreman called it a lathe. It was this huge, old machine they bolted to the pipe. Took three guys to set up. If he meant a portable clamp-on, he was way off. That thing was from the 70s, easy.
