Hot take: the $120 I spent on a resume writer back in 2015 got me nowhere
I paid a woman in Fort Wayne $120 to redo my resume when I was trying to get out of driving a truck, and she just swapped some words around and slapped a fancy font on it. Nobody called for four months, so a buddy at the gym looked it over and said it read like a job description instead of a person, so I rewrote it myself in one night and got two interviews that week. Did a paid resume service ever do right by you, or was it money down the drain like mine?
