Yeah, "2 inches short" - I gotta call that out. In my experience lumber mills cut to nominal sizes, so a 2x4 is really 1.5x3.5, but if they sent actual 2 inch shorts that means they cut the wrong lengths entirely. That's a whole different level of screwup. Your yard should have caught that on the order sheet before it ever left the lot.
