TIL a $12 bottle of Titebond III saved my whole deck rebuild

I was framing a new deck last spring and ran out of construction adhesive halfway through. Grabbed the cheapest stuff at the hardware store, some off brand for $4. By the time I got back to the joists, the glue had already skinned over and wouldn't bond right. I ended up pulling three joists and redoing them. Next day I bought a big bottle of Titebond III for about $12 and it held everything solid even with the rain we got that weekend. That cheap glue cost me an extra afternoon of work and a lot of cussing. Has anyone else found a specific glue or adhesive that just works no matter what?

Titebond III never let me down on wet pressure treated lumber.

You ever glue up a wet PT deck board with that stuff? Held like iron even through a rainstorm. I've had projects out in the weather for years with no joint failure.
