Update: I glue every joint and here's why
I thought glue was for hacks. Real woodworkers rely on tight joints. Then a client's table came loose. Glue fixed it for good. Now I use it on all my projects. It adds hidden strength. My work holds up better.

Well, we're stubborn until being wrong teaches us (then it clicks forever).

Tell me about it. I have to get the same lesson wrong a few times before it sticks. Still a work in progress over here.

Ever tried writing it down when you mess up the same thing? I started keeping a short list of my own repeat mistakes. Forcing myself to write the correction next to it made my brain slow down and actually process it. Now I check that list before I start similar tasks and it cuts down the repeat errors a ton. It feels silly but it works way better than just thinking about it.
