How my neighbor's hot dog and cornflake casserole became the talk of the block!

You mentioned that these meals come from using what's on hand, and I get that. But hot dogs with cornflakes is a step too far for my taste. The salty and sweet mix just doesn't sit right with me. I remember my aunt making something similar once, and no one touched it. It's funny how potlucks can bring out the weirdest recipes. Makes you think about what people consider food in a pinch.

Tbh, you don't need pricey stuff for deep space pics. My basic camera got the Ring Nebula last night and it's totally valid.

But what about all the faint details and colors that basic gear just can't pick up? Getting a fuzzy shot of the Ring Nebula is one thing, but without better equipment, you're not really seeing what's out there. More expensive cameras and telescopes grab way more light and data, which makes for a clearer and more true to life image. It feels like settling for less when you could be capturing something amazing. If you want to actually see deep space, not just a hint of it, good tools matter a lot.

My flea market lamp looked perfect until I felt the seam

Ugh, that's so true about surfaces hiding the real story. I see it all the time with people and situations, not just old lamps. Everything looks fine until you find that seam.

Am I the only one who thinks digital art lost its charm?

I made a second Instagram just for my close friends to see my finished pieces, it cuts out the noise lol. Try a private folder or even a blog if you miss that feeling.
