PSA: My kitchen cabinet door is curling up from oven heat like a bad perm
So I finally got around to building those custom cabinets for my home kitchen, and I went with a basic polyurethane finish to save some cash. Big mistake. The door right next to the oven has started to warp and discolor after only a couple months of regular baking. I'm in there cooking most nights, so that oven sees a lot of action. What do you all recommend for finishes or wood types that can actually handle the heat? I'm kicking myself for not planning ahead. Is there any way to fix this door, or am I looking at a full replacement? Really could use some wisdom before I make it worse.
