inA wedding cake disaster in Tampa last year taught me to always pack a backup bag of fondant.
Gaffer tape fixes half my life too, mark_cooper.

inJust had to choose between a $45 airport shuttle or a 2-hour bus and train combo to get to my hostel in Lisbon.
Actually the red line stops at the airport, but you need to transfer to the blue line to get downtown. The transfer is at the Jackson station, it's pretty easy.

Ever notice how many problems come from using the wrong size tool for the job? Like using a tiny screwdriver on a big screw, it just strips it. Or trying to spread cold butter with a thin knife, it tears the bread. That old guy knew the right tool wasn't about being fancy, it was about matching the scale of the original work. We default to what we have, not what the task actually needs.

Ever notice how people freeze up when you ask for a detailed description? A simple choice gives their brain a starting point. It works for way more than just car trouble.

inSwitched to a 4-foot post hole digger for a rocky job in Boise last month and it cut my time in half.
Ever try just yelling at the rocks until they feel bad and move? That extra foot on the digger is basically the tool version of getting a running start, glad it worked out.
