Bought a cheap knee kicker for a quick job and it cost me a full day

The thing slipped on every single tack strip, so I had to go back and hand stretch half the room. Lost a whole day's pay, maybe $400. Is it ever worth it to save a few bucks on a tool that can ruin your work?

Man, I used to buy the cheap stuff too. After a job went sideways like that, I finally got it. Good tools are just part of the cost.

Ugh, that's the worst feeling. Been there with a cheap tool costing me more time than it saved.

Had a buddy who bought a cheap wrench set once. Snapped one clean off on a rusty bolt and had to drill the whole thing out.
