Honestly, half-frozen usually means the top layer is solid ice but you can still slosh liquid underneath. Tbh you don't want to pour that into a cooler, it'll just melt everything else faster. If it's a drink, you gotta shake it real hard to break up the ice chunks before you open it. Otherwise it's gonna explode all over you when the pressure releases.
