Just realized my old knee kicker is basically a ticking time bomb after the tension bar snapped mid-stretch on a job in Spokane last Tuesday.

I was pulling the last few inches on a 15-foot seam when it gave way, so I had to finish the room with just a power stretcher and a lot of creative cursing, but has anyone else had a tool fail that catastrophically right at the finish line?

Man, a tension bar snapping on a 15-foot seam is the stuff of nightmares. I can't believe it held until the very last pull, that's some cruel luck right there. The mental image of that thing letting go while you're putting your weight into it is honestly terrifying. Finishing with just the power stretcher sounds like a special kind of punishment after all that work.

Yeah, that last-second snap is the worst kind of surprise. @jadeg99 probably felt his soul leave his body for a second there. Just the power stretcher on a job that size is a brutal way to end the day.
