Question about knee pad strategy for long floor jobs

Honestly, I'm torn between heavy duty pads for my knees and lighter ones that don't slow me down as much. Which side are you on for a full day of installing?

Wait, you'd even consider light pads for a full day?

Your post, @lily_lee9, reminded me of my college roommate. She relied on a simple desk lamp during all-nighters and never complained. Different gear, but endurance is key for long hours.

Heavy duty pads are a MUST for all-day floor work. Lighter pads might seem quicker, but they offer zero real protection after six hours. Your knees will THANK you later for the extra cushion. I learned this the hard way on a big tile job last year. Find pads with thick gel cores, even if they cost more. That comfort lets you focus on the install instead of the pain.

Cheaper pads wear out in weeks, not months.
