Refinanced on a 15-year term to cut PMI, my payment jumped $390 and the appraiser lowballed me by $47k
Pulled the trigger on a cash out refi with a local credit union in Austin last month and they used the drive-by valuation model, which ignored my new kitchen and two bathroom remodels, so I got an unexpected $52k less than the Zestimate and now my LTV is over 80%, has anyone fought an appraisal like this and won?

Ngl, fighting an appraisal feels like arguing with a brick wall sometimes. I once had a guy argue my pool was worth nothing because it was "seasonal," but I live in Florida, so that was just silly. You might win if you bring comps of similar remodels, but honestly, the drive-by folks don't care about your granite until you show them a receipt.
