My $2 bag of dried beans beat my $15 rotisserie chicken and I'm still thinking about it
Back when I was broke in my early 20s in Akron, I'd grab a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store because it felt like the easy win, but last week I soaked a bag of dried pintos overnight and got 6 meals out of them for pocket change. The chicken gave me two dinners and a sad sandwich, while the beans lasted me most of the week with rice and some leftover bacon grease. Am I the only one who slept on dried beans for way too long?
