Salt keeps clumping in my humid kitchen

It was getting bad enough to throw off my seasoning. I tried the rice trick for a bit, but found a small silica gel pack in the bin works better and doesn't cook. What's your fix for this?

That silica gel pack in the bin isn't food-safe though. Those packets say "do not eat" for a reason.

Seriously? If we're ignoring "do not eat" labels, I've got way better options. That half eaten bag of chips from last month? A real feast. Or the crusty soy sauce packet at the bottom of the drawer. Compared to that, a little silica gel is basically a gourmet spice.
