Dropped $75 on a parking app near West 25th and still got a ticket

So last Saturday I parked over by the West Side Market around 11am and figured I'd just use the app instead of digging for quarters. Paid the $7 rate on SpotHero, thought I was good, walked around for like two hours. Came back to a $68 ticket on my windshield because apparently that lot on Lorain is private and doesn't honor any of those apps. Anyone else get burned by those random paid lots near the market, or do I just need to stick to the meter from now on?

I saw a thing on the news about those private lots by the market not taking any app payments. You basically have to look for the sign with the lot's own number and pay through them or it's a gamble.
