PSA: I swore off the Rapid for 3 years, then a snowstorm on Lorain changed my mind
I drive everywhere on the west side and always said the Red Line was for people who don't have cars, right up until my Honda got stuck on Lorain Ave near West 65th during that ice storm on the 14th. I sat in my car for 40 minutes watching the 22 bus slide past me and decided to just park at the West Boulevard lot and ride in. Door to door to Tower City took 18 minutes, and I didn't touch my steering wheel or scrape a single window. Now I'm looking at the schedule for a monthly pass and my wife thinks I've lost it. Anyone else flip on this after one bad commute, or am I just late to something everyone on the west side already knew?
