Shoutout to the guys at West Side Tool Library for saving my porch project
I was trying to fix my sagging porch steps with a cheap drill from Walmart and it died after 3 screws. Rented a proper impact driver from the Tool Library on Detroit Ave and finished the whole thing in 20 minutes flat. Has anyone else found that using the right tool from them beats buying junk that breaks?

That impact driver probably cost a fraction of what a decent one would run you at the big box store too. People forget that buying junk just means you're paying twice for the same job (once for the broken tool, once for the rental). The West Side guys are super helpful too, they'll actually tell you what bit to use for different screws. Makes you wonder why anyone bothers with those cheap cordless sets.

Nah, sometimes cheap cordless sets are perfect for light projects where I'd never use a pro tool anyway lol.
