TIL I went from throwing out half a pot of chili every week to almost zero food waste, and the fix was a $3 whiteboard
Six months ago I was tossing maybe 5 or 6 containers of leftovers every single week because stuff got pushed to the back of the fridge and I forgot about it. Then I stuck a cheap whiteboard on the fridge door and started writing down what was in there with the date I cooked it, so now the kids check it before they grab a snack and nothing gets buried. Has anyone else tried a low tech system like this, and does it actually stick for you or does the board just go blank after a while?
