Guy I trained under in 2019 said never trust a guy who won't let you touch the offset, and a new hire just proved him right

The offset thing is about the part of the vid that shows the movement, not the whole rig. Cable drive systems use one, and if a trainer won't let you see those numbers or change them, it's because the numbers are doing the work instead of the lifter. That's why the rule holds up.
