Codecademy's own report says only 12% of free tier users finish lesson one
I was poking around Codecademy's 2023 learner report at like 11pm and hit a stat that messed me up: only about 12% of people who sign up for the free tier even finish the very first lesson. Everyone in this community keeps pushing "pick a course and finish it" like that's normal, but the numbers say almost nobody does, and I started to think the course model itself is the problem, not people's willpower. So what actually got you past lesson one, a project you cared about or just grinding through a course?
the problem is courses, period" lol yeah cuz schools have never messed anything up before. @jana_ellis95 you really think the whole system is fine except for the classes themselves?
