The big debate: should beginners start with Python or JavaScript first?

I keep seeing people say Python is the only way to start because it's easier, but then they hit web dev and have to learn JavaScript anyway. Which one actually sets you up better long term? What's your take?

Honestly I think Python gets overhyped as a starter language. JavaScript lets you see results in a browser right away which kept me way more motivated than printing "hello world" in a terminal.

You mentioned seeing results right away... didn't you ever hit a wall with JavaScript where something just wouldn't render and you had no idea why?
