Bought a cheap coffee grinder and it cost me more than just cash

I picked up a $30 blade grinder from a big store six months ago, thinking it would be fine for my morning brew. The grind was always uneven, making my coffee taste bitter and weak at the same time. I wasted almost two full bags of good beans, about $40 worth, trying to make it work before I gave up. My friend finally told me to just get a proper burr grinder, and the difference is like night and day. I wish I had listened sooner and saved my money and those beans. Has anyone else had a bad experience with a specific piece of gear they regret buying?
