Tried a $20 blade grinder for a month after my old burr one broke.

The coffee tasted like bitter dust and I had to clean grounds out of my machine every morning. I finally replaced it with a basic Baratza Encore and the difference is night and day. Is there any real use for a blade grinder besides making spice powder?
