Shoutout to the weird 90s show 'The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.'

Found the whole 1994 run, all 13 episodes. The quality is rough, like a VHS rip someone uploaded years ago. Missing the original music in a few spots though. Makes me wonder what else got cut or changed before it was saved.

I thought the 'wearable tech' thing was just a gimmick for rich people.

Yeah the "water beaded right off" part is what got me. I read a review that said the same thing, like it really works in heavy rain.

Back in the day I bought a 'miracle' wipe-on poly that promised a pro finish in one coat

Saw a deep dive that totally backed that up.

I started asking 'what's the one thing you'd change?' instead of 'any feedback?'

Yeah, that's so true. I was reading something about how doctors have to ask very direct questions to get a clear picture of what's wrong, because if they just ask "how are you feeling" people will just say "fine." It totally applies to everyday stuff too, like trying to get a straight answer from a contractor or even a friend about plans. Being vague just lets everyone, including yourself, avoid the hard part of the conversation. You have to pin it down to get anywhere real.

My cold email open rate hit 37% after I stopped personalizing every single one, which goes against everything the gurus say.

Wait, didn't a marketing newsletter recently say personalization is dead for first contact? They argued that with inbox overload, people scan for the offer, not a fake friendly intro. Your numbers seem to prove that point.
