inMy bokashi bin nearly ruined my kitchen last week
Moving that coffee machine closer to the sink was the only thing that stopped me from spilling grounds everywhere too. I never realized how much of a difference a few steps makes when you're half awake and just trying to function. It's such a small change but it really does save you from that morning mess.

inTried speed networking events vs casual coffee meetups and the difference was night and day
My buddy actually runs one of those coffee meetups now and he started it because he went to a speed thing where a guy literally forgot his own wife's name when someone asked. He had to look down at his ring and then just kind of mumbled it. It was brutal. That's when he realized nobody's actually listening in those things, they're all just waiting for their turn to talk about themselves. The coffee group he does now just has a topic like "weirdest client story" and lets people naturally jump in.

inVent: My desk setup went from clean to chaos in 3 months flat
My $60 cable sleeves started fraying after like two months and I honestly just taped them back together with duct tape. So now my "premium" setup looks like it survived a small explosion and a toddler with scissors. It's basically a metaphor for my whole life, things look organized until you get too close.

inUnpopular opinion: I think a full moon is actually a decent time for backyard astronomy
That "they're just points of light" bit is exactly what my buddy Greg told me after he tried it. He dragged his little refractor out during a full moon last summer just to see, and he said splitting Epsilon Lyrae was like watching two tiny diamonds appear out of nowhere. Said it was the best surprise he'd had all year with his scope.

inHeard a guy at the hardware store talking about dryer vent fires and it shook me
Did you find anything melted or scorched in there?
