A buddy called my pull list 'lazy collecting' and it actually stuck with me

This guy at my LCS said I just grab whatever has a #1 on it. He was right. I had 40 books a month and maybe read 5. So I cut down to 12 titles. Now I actually follow stories instead of just stacking boxes. Anyone else had someone call them out on their buying habits?

Cut my pull list from 30 to 10 books when I realized I was just buying hype. Now I actually read everything before the next issue drops.

I mean yeah @the_drew that's the kind of thing I wish I had the willpower to do honestly. I'm sitting at like 18 books right now and half of them I'm not even excited about anymore I just feel bad dropping them. It's wild how easy it is to get caught up in the FOMO from previews and word of mouth when really you only have time for maybe a handful of solid series. I bet your reading experience is way better now actually getting to sit with each issue instead of rushing through a stack. Maybe I need to just rip the bandaid off and cut the dead weight too.
