Am I the only one who thinks reading single issues beats trades for pacing?

I read through House of X/Powers of X as single issues week by week and the hype was unreal, then my buddy handed me the trade and said it was better. Reading it all in one go made me miss the cliffhanger punch from each issue, especially the Moira reveal landing on that last page. Has anyone else felt like the wait between issues adds something the collected edition just doesn't have?

Yeah that Moira reveal hit different after waiting a week. I started grabbing the single issues first then picking up the trade later if the run holds up. Gives you the best of both worlds without losing that punch.

Wait, @betty_white39, don't you think waiting for the trade is actually the smarter play most of the time? Single issues can get pricey and you end up with a bunch of floppy paper taking up space, plus you can binge the whole story arc at once without forgetting what happened two months ago. Why pay more and get less of a reading experience?
