Finally finished that Wolverine run I started in July
I was camped out at the used bookstore on 3rd street last Saturday reading the last issue of Old Man Logan when I realized I had the whole thing upside down for 15 minutes. The binding is just that loose on those early 2000s prints. Has anyone else had a book just fall apart on you mid read?

That binding issue is so common with those early 2000s Wolverine trades, it drives me crazy. They used that cheap glue that just gets brittle over time (like, it literally crumbles in your hands). I had the same problem with my copy of Wolverine: Origin, the pages just started falling out one by one. Really bummed me out because those stories are solid, but the physical quality is just garbage. You basically have to hold the whole thing together with your thumbs while you read, it's so annoying.

Oh come on, is it really that bad? I mean yeah, the glue on those old trades isn't great, but you're acting like it's some kind of disaster. I've got a copy of Wolverine: Origin sitting on my shelf right now, and sure, it's a little loose, but I just hold it carefully and it's fine. People act like books falling apart is the end of the world, but it's just a paperback, you know? You can always find a used copy for cheap if yours really bites the dust.
