Rolled my eyes at a guy in Portland who swore by reading Silver Age comics for writing advice

After 6 months of struggling with my dialogue, I picked up a copy of Stan Lee's old Amazing Spider-Man run and suddenly understood pacing in a way no modern tutorial ever explained, so has anyone else found surprising lessons in older comics that you didn't expect?

Craig.tessa basically called me out and honestly? Fair. I spent months reading craft books and then Peter Parker's awkward "I guess I should say something" dialogue fixed my entire brain in one weekend. My characters stopped sounding like robots and started sounding like people who also trip over their own words.

6 months of struggling and Stan Lee fixed it in like 20 pages, go figure.
