The guy at the comic shop who refused to bag my dollar bin finds
I was at my local shop in Cleveland last Saturday digging through the dollar bins like usual. This older guy behind the counter saw me pull out a stack of about 10 beat up issues and told me he wouldn't sell me bags for them because "those books deserve to breathe." I just stood there holding a cracked copy of Power Man #49 not sure if he was joking or serious. He then spent 15 minutes explaining why the smell of old paper matters more than the grade. Has anyone else run into a comic shop employee with some pretty strong opinions about how you store your books?

Wait, is this guy gatekeeping how we store junk comics now?

They're not junk comics, they're "vintage paper collectibles with historical significance." Pretty sure that's the official term.
