My Kirby Morgan mask strap snapped mid-dive last Tuesday

I was doing a hull inspection in 45 feet of water off the Port of Miami when my chin strap let go completely. Had to abort the dive and borrow a backup from the tender, which doesn't fit right. Anyone else had a crucial piece of gear fail on them out of nowhere and had to scramble?

Buddy of mine had a fin strap snap at 60 feet, same panic lol

yeah I heard somewhere that Kirby Morgan straps have been having some QC issues lately, maybe it's just the saltwater doing it but still. I mean that's wild for a strap to just go like that at 45 feet, glad you made it back okay.
