Visited the Gulfport rig yard last week and noticed something off...

I stopped by the Gulfport yard to pick up some gear for a job coming up next month. Saw a whole stack of Kirby Morgan masks being stored with the neck dams just thrown on top of them in the sun. Those things are like $400 each and they're just cooking in UV rays and heat. Anybody else see gear getting treated this badly at their local yard?

That's a shame about the Kirby Morgans. I've seen the same kind of thing at the Houma yard a few years back, guys just leaving their regs and masks out on the back of a truck in the sun. A good neck dam is a pain to replace if it gets brittle and cracked from the heat.

A little 303 protectant spray once a week keeps the rubber from cooking in the heat down here. Cheaper than buying a new neck dam every six months lol.
