Wasted $800 on a fancy combi oven that barely lasted 18 months

I bought a top-of-the-line combi oven for my diner in Cleveland back in 2021 because the salesman said it'd save me money on gas. The thing broke down three times, the repair guy said parts are backordered for months, and I ended up going back to my old steam table setup. Has anyone else had a newer piece of equipment fail way faster than the old stuff you had for 15 years?

That's the whole problem with modern stuff across the board, not just ovens. They're built to be tossed after a couple years instead of lasting like the old stuff did.

Yeah, exactly. They make everything cheaper now so you just buy a new one. It's sad when your grandma's oven is still running fine but a brand new one breaks in two years.
