Finally got my volunteering schedule right after 6 months of chaos

I signed up for the Saturday morning shift at the Northside food pantry back in February but kept missing it because of traffic... turns out the bus route changed last year. Last week I actually showed up on time and helped unload a whole pallet of canned goods before anyone else got there. The coordinator said "you're the first volunteer to beat the truck driver" and it felt really good. Has anyone else had that moment where a simple schedule tweak made everything click?

Oh man, set a recurring alarm on your phone for 45 minutes before you gotta leave.

Yeah but what if you're one of those people who shows up 45 mins early and then just sits in your car doomscrolling? Thats me. I get there super early cause I hate being late but then I waste all that time not actually being productive. I've started setting a second alarm for when I actually need to walk in the door so I don't lose track of time and end up late anyway. The game is real.

Good on you. I used to think showing up early was just a flex, but you changed my mind.
