Bought a $40 seat cushion for the bus and I'm torn on if it was worth it
It helps my back a ton on the long ride downtown, but it's a pain to carry around all day. Do you think comfort gear is a must-have or just extra stuff to haul?

Honestly, I feel you on that "pain to carry around" thing. I got a similar cushion for my truck seat last year and it's a lifesaver for my lower back but yeah, hauling it from the truck to the jobsite every day gets old fast. Sounds like you're in the same boat where the benefit is real but the hassle is real too. Ngl, if it helps your back that much on the long ride downtown, I'd say it's probably worth the extra weight in your bag. But I get why you're torn, sometimes you just want to travel light and not be that person lugging gear everywhere.
