That bus driver who told me to stop rushing changed my whole mindset
So I was running late for work on Tuesday, like full on sprinting to catch the 7:15 bus on Main Street. I get on all out of breath and this older driver just looks at me and goes 'the bus will wait, but your heart might not.' It kinda hit me different because I spend every morning stressing over missing transfers and being 5 minutes late. Now I just walk normal pace and if I miss it I catch the next one. Has anyone else had a random stranger say something that actually stuck with you?

Has that actually changed how you handle other stressful stuff too?

You mean like at work or with family? I started using the same 4-7-8 breathing thing when my boss gets on my case. Works surprisingly well stops me from snapping back. Also do quick body scans when I'm stuck in traffic now instead of getting all wound up. It's not perfect but it gives me a second to chill before reacting.
